Age Related macula degeneration (AMD)

AMD is a chronic problem of the macula ( the part of the eye responsible for sharp central vision).

An accumulation of toxins which may be due to age, smoking and sun exposure , damage the retina cells. There may be bleeding and scarring seen in the retina. There are two forms of AMD: Wet AMD and Dry AMD.
